The balanced workhorse for everyday extremes.
Aperflu 2275 is the balanced centre of the range: 70 Shore A, 21.2 MPa tensile, 160% elongation and 16% compression set. No single figure is extreme, and that is the point — it covers the broad middle of FFKM demand without compromise.
Its 160 °C / 230 °C cure schedule is the mildest in the family, which shortens cycle time and lowers energy cost per part. For general chemical sealing where no single property is critical, 2275 is usually the most economical starting point.
These are not the same material class. Aperflu 2275 is a perfluoroelastomer (FFKM); Viton ETP is a highly fluorinated fluoroelastomer (FKM, 67% fluorine) that Chemours positions as a bridge between FKM and FFKM. On the one property measured on the same basis — 70 h at 200 °C — the FFKM compound holds a 16% set against 51%. Viton ETP answers with 65 points more elongation and a materially lower cost.

Less than a third of the compression set on an identical 70 h / 200 °C basis (16% vs 51%), plus 16% more tensile strength. That set gap is what the fully fluorinated FFKM network buys: seal force that survives long hot service instead of relaxing into a leak path.
65 points more elongation (225% vs 160%) and a much lower compound cost — ETP is designed as the economical step up from standard FKM, and it already resists ketones, esters, aldehydes and caustic bases that plain FKM cannot take.
Amines, steam, strong oxidisers, or sustained service above 200 °C: 2275 — and step up to 3075, which is validated at 300 °C, when the temperature keeps climbing. Hydrocarbons, oils, fuels and mild chemicals inside 200 °C with cost pressure: Viton ETP is the rational choice.
Viton® and Extreme™ are trademarks of The Chemours Company. Aperflu has no affiliation with Chemours. Viton ETP is a polymer family, not a single compound — the figures shown are typical values for the Chemours ETP-600S reference compound (peroxide cured, 16 h post-cure) and will shift with the actual compound supplied. Aperflu 2275 values are taken from its compound technical data sheet. All figures are typical values, not specifications; the two products belong to different material classes, so selection must be confirmed by immersion and life testing in the actual process fluid.
